Subaru "Rally for the Kids" Fund-Racing Challenge

Davenport Subaru continues to show support for the kids in our community through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orillia. Mike Davenport of Davenport Subaru has challenged Capital Subaru of St. Johns, NFLD to a "fund-racing challenge" in an effort to raise support and awareness for each other's local Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies. The agency that raises the most funds will be declared the winner at the 2,200km Targa Challenge being held in Eastern-Central Newfoundland from September 11-18th, 2010. As in previous years, Mike Davenport with co-driver Shawn Monette will be driving their 2002 Subaru WRX at this #1 top motorsport event in Canada. Their goal is to not only regain the cars 2003 Targa Champion status, but to raise as much support and awareness for Big Brothers Big Sisters as possible.

The community is encouraged to come out for the official unveiling of the 2010 Targa Challenge car on Wednesday, July 14th, 11:30a.m. at Davenport Subaru. Attendees will be able to view the car, meet the drivers, and will have access to more information about the race and their local Big Brothers Big Sisters agency. Lunch will be provided courtesy of Davenport Subaru. Donations will be accepted at both Davenport Subaru and the Big Brothers Big Sisters office in Orillia.

The goal for this year is to exceed the $12,700 raised in 2008 for the regional cancer center. For more information, contact Mike Davenport at 329-4277 or James Maxwell at 325-3151.

YES,  It is back, Davenport Subaru night at the Barrie Speedway. 

 Saturday Nights are Special at Barrie Speedway.  The King of the Hill sponsored by Davenport Subaru of Orillia gives you the chance to race on the track, in your own car. 

We would like to set this as your special invitation to join us on Saturday August 7th for our customer apprciation night, and the areas largest King of the Hill Event.  This is one event you will not want to miss. 

Please come out, and enjoy alot of fun on this annual event.  Thanks in advance to our loyale customers for all of their ongoing support!!!

         Today when you and I were talking about why my 2001 Subaru Outback keeps running well, you mentioned that we take good care of it by bringing it in regularly for service.   I should have said that it wouldn't matter how often we brought it in, if we didn't have great people taking an interest in it and doing good work on it.
   Peter joins me in thanking you and the staff for having looked after our car in such an exemplary fashion all these years.
